DISASTER MANAGEMENT-THE 6TH INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR

BACKGROUND
Geographically, Indonesia is one of high-risks area of disaster. Many of disaster experiences force all elements of this nation to be aware to the possibility of disaster happening and sudden disaster impacts including any emergency situation whether it is caused by disaster or not.
Nurses are part of nations’ elements and integrated part of health system of Indonesia. Disaster and emergency management is a fundamental knowledge that nurse should know to keep in touch with emergency situation that can be happened anytime.
The School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with Faculty of Health Sciences, Kobe University School of Medicine intend to invite you to join the 6th International Seminar that is hold as part of the 63rd Anniversary of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada. In this scientific 10.10 - 10.30meeting, you will meet many scientists from health department, especially nurses.

OBJECTIVE
The aim of this scientific meeting is to give understanding to all seminar audiences how to manage disaster in the long term.

CALL FOR POSTERS
The Scientific Program Committee invites you to submit abstracts for free posters session at the seminar day. The posters should be related to disaster, whether case study, research activities or literature review. The committee will rigorously review all posters.

Instruction for Authors
All posters are to be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by post or on site. Please contact the secretariat via e-mail at vira_virani@yahoo.com to make alternative arrangement. The deadline for poster submission is February 18, 2009.
Posters can be submitted in Indonesian or in English with maximum word count of 300. Photographs and pictures should be included. All presenters of accepted posters are expected to attend the seminar and pay the registration fee.

Posters Qualifications:
1. Attach your poster in Microsoft Publisher format.
2. Poster limited to one page (poster paper).

Confirmation of Receipt of Posters
You will be sent an acknowledgement via post, e-mail or facsimile to confirm that your poster has been received. If you do not receive the acknowledgement within three days of your submission, please contact the Seminar Secretariat.

Poster Presentation
Poster will be accepted for poster presentation during the seminar session. Poster author will be asked to stand by their poster during scheduled poster presentation times (during lunch time).
